In "RED DOG" territory, Port Dampier, far Western Australia

The friendly park lady loaned us a copy of the DVD

Even our little white pup Newbie is turning into Red Dog with all the red dust around.

A great stop-over for a few days and an iron ore loading port that never sleeps.

Roy's golf game crashing and burning on the rugged Nullarbor - just like Skylab

Actual chunk of US crashed Skylab. Amazingly flimsy... low tech panels with pop rivets and what looks like a $100 Dick Smith satellite dish.

President Carter personally phoned the motel/hotel here to apologize for the 'rogue' space junk landing in their Nullarbor backyard.

Camping on a farm - Fraser Ranges Station
Roy keeps trying. Not a single par in around a dozen holes

Truly Great Australian Bight! One of the world's greatest sights.

Thrill of living on the edge
Spectacular, spectacular. We actually broke into cheers.
"Relax, Nubie, it's Bight, not bite."

Western Australia, here we are!

The 1365 kilometre golf drive - Nullarbor links across Australia

Tee off at Ceduna, drive a few hundred ks, play another hole, drive on, then drive again off a tee.  It's rugged.
But an epic golf course.
Roy went for the green for his fifth shot on a par 5, 520 metre bush studded fairway, but ended up with a dismal eight! (The Wombat Hole)
Still, we were told Lisa Curry shot thirteen.
Real Nullarbor scenery coming up now.
Not a tree for little Nubie to lift his leg on.
He's going to bust.

Still heading for the Nullabor crossing

Held up by two massive systems that came across the Bight. Fierce winds and storms, so taking shelter in idyllic Streaky Bay, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia
